CEO & Founder

Mary-Cathryn Kolb

A leader in the retail industry for the last ten years, Mary-Cathryn began her career under the guidance of Christian Audigier and the Von Dutch brand. She continued to develop her sales and business expertise through the early stages of Seven7 Jeans. In 2008, she collaborated with Blake Mycoskie of TOMS Shoes to help him launch the company as his first hire. Joining SPANX in its early years, she became Director of Sales and helped grow the company by developing strategic, company-wide initiatives, projecting sales volume and profits, and reaching sales quotas.



Chief Operating Officer

Jeff Clark

Jeff manages all day-to-day business operations and investor engagements.

He started his career in institutional investments and then lead the growth of software startup First Rate Investment Systems.  In 2005, he became a partner at Sendero Wealth Management managing multi-million dollar portfolios and direct investments for several high net worth families.

Jeff has a Finance degree from Florida State University, an MBA from Rollins College, is a Certified Financial Planner, an Eagle Scout and is active in several charitable and community organizations in Atlanta.



Vice President, Sales

Julie Brown

Julie leads the global sales team and coordinates industry-specific sales initiatives.

She was previously a project manager First Performance payment processing and was the Founder and CEO of an eco-friendly line of women’s shoes called Julie Bee’s. She was also Director of Operations for the Hult Prize Foundation, was a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, and she worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Julie holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Hult International Business School, where she completed a global rotation in Shanghai, and she earned a Bachelor’s in International Studies from Northern Kentucky University.



Chief Scientist

Apurba Banerjee, PhD

Apurba focuses on testing and research and development of cooling technology. She is responsible for testing, intellectual property and partner training.

Apurba has a doctorate from the University of Georgia in Polymer, Fiber & Textile Sciences. She received her Masters in Science in Textile Science from Colorado State University and a Bachelor’s in Technology in Textile Processing from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India. Her education in textiles is multifaceted with expertise in textile wet processing, polymer synthesis, textile sustainable practices, textile testing and fiber manufacturing.



Vice President, Global Innovation & General Manager, Taiwan Office

Newbery Su

Newbery is a garment industry expert running the Taiwan office of brrr°.

He started his career in the textile industry in 2000. Prior to joining brrr° he was the Vice President of Innovation for five years with Mackent Fabrics Co. in Taoyuan City, Taiwan.

Newbery coordinates design and manufacturing of brrr° fabric for all licensing partners, as well as development of new applications for the patented technology.
